This day marks the start of the Brisbane to Gladstone Yacht race, one of the biggest yacht races on the Australian calendar. The race usually passes by in the morning and then the day is followed on with festivity, markets and food-trucks. The Easter Bunny always makes a grand appearance. If you are looking for free activities to do over the School Holiday period, you need to look to our beaches, and multitude of playgrounds and parks. Suttons Beach, Margate, Moreton Bay, Queensland, Australia would have to be one of the safest beaches for swimming and is manned by our local Surf Life Savers. If you don’t like the sea, you could also consider Settlement Cove Lagoon, which is a fantastic man-made Lagoon, with varying depths, disability access and island refuge.
