Brisbane’s Convoy For Kids is a day that will bring smiles to any truck fans face. Redcliffe is the end point for the convoy, and the Redcliffe Showgrounds will fill up with all kinds of trucks, buses, utes, motorbikes and service vehicles!
Convoy For Kids is an annual charity event that passes through the Redcliffe Peninsular. You’ll hear the trucks long before you see them. The Redcliffe Showgrounds is only a short 5 minute walk from La Vida on Anzac Apartments, which makes for an easy day out with no parking issues.
Convoy For Kids started back in 2006, by David Gaudron, who wanted to surprise his truck mad nephew.
The tradition has grown every year and continues to grow since starting. All the proceeds gathered from the Convoy For Kids is donated to the Hummingbird House. The Hummingbird House is a children’s Hospice and eight bed medical facility for kids with life-limiting conditions. A worthy a cause to get behind and a fun day out for the whole family.

Convoy For Kids put on a massive show every year! Start your visit off with a wander around all the vehicle displays, both the big kids and littlies will love it.
There are plenty of FREE rides, a petting zoo, market stalls and a huge musical line up with lots of live entertainment. Make sure you keep an eye open for the auction and the raffles, as there are always awesome prizes up for grabs. Finish off the night watching the impressive fireworks display.
